Fancy Frontier, also known as FF, is Taiwan’s premier comic and creative arts convention, dedicated to celebrating and promoting doujin (self-published) works, cosplay, and anime culture. Our vision is simple: to provide a vibrant and welcoming space where doujin creators, fans, and cosplayers can gather, interact, and enjoy the creativity and passion of the community.

Beyond just a fan event, we also hope to gradually shift public perception toward a more positive view of anime and manga culture. More importantly, we aim to support and sustain the creative spirit of Taiwan’s local comics industry, nurturing its growth and encouraging new talent.

Currently, the Fancy Frontier series includes two main events:

First held in October 2002, FF is a large-scale event inspired by Japan’s Comiket and international book fairs. It takes place twice a year—during the Lunar New Year holidays and in late August—making it a key event in the Taiwanese anime and manga calendar.

The event centers around doujin circles (self-publishing groups) and features appearances by notable guests from Japan, including animators, manga artists, and voice actors. Attendees can enjoy panel discussions, autograph sessions, live performances, and a wide range of stage events that make every FF a memorable experience.

Launched in October 2004, Petit Fancy is a smaller-scale event held in spring and autumn, focused on supporting and encouraging high-quality original works from local doujin creators.

In addition to inviting guests from the Japanese anime and manga industries, PF features a special incentive program for original content: participating circles that pass the review process can receive discounts on booth fees. Outstanding original works are also introduced and reviewed in the event catalog to help them reach a wider audience.

Whether you’re a creator, a fan, or a first-time visitor, Fancy Frontier welcomes you to join this lively celebration of creativity, community, and culture.
